Phone call process

Borrisokane General practice operate a no interruption policy during clinic opening hours. This policy means that during clinics, GPs and nurses will not take any routine phone calls, however, an exception may be made in the case of a medical emergency.

Borrisokane General practice offer a limited Telephone consultation service should someone be unavailable to attend in person or where a short telephone conversation may assist rather than attending in person.

This service is offered on a case by case basis and is subject to a charge.

Sick certification / Illness benefit certification

Borrisokane General practice can provide certification for sickness or illness benefit. Patients can contact the clinic with details and this will be forwarded to the GP.

Certificates will be available for collection generally in one working day and are subject to a charge.

You may be required to make an appointment with the GP prior to sick certificate being issued.
